Privacy and security
Family data should feel like family data.
Here we explain it simply. You'll find the formal legal documents in the page footer (Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Refund Policy).
Private family spaces
Every family has its own separate space. We never mix one family's data with another's, and we don't track anything across families.
Children and access
Children can join safely — they connect via a simple QR code, with no email and no password. Parents stay in control and decide who sees and can do what.
Passwordless sign-in
Instead of passwords we use magic links and passkeys (Face ID, fingerprint). There's nothing to forget and nothing to steal.
Optional AI
HugoAI is optional. The core app works fully without AI — smart help is never a requirement.
Data ownership
Your data is yours. We store only what's needed to run the app. A family can export its data (JSON) or delete the whole family account at any time — directly in settings.
The free tier is free forever while your family keeps using it. If a free family is inactive for 3 months, we warn you by email first and then permanently delete it, so we don't keep data nobody is using.
We don't share data and no outsiders can access it
We don't sell your data and we don't share it with anyone else for their own purposes — no advertising networks, no data brokers. We don't employ staff or hire anyone who has access to your personal data.
To run the Service we use only strictly necessary providers (running the app, sending emails, and for paid plans payments via Paddle), who act only on our instructions. We process all data within the EU/EEA and don't transfer it outside the EU/EEA.
When we contact you
We write to you only for essential service messages (sign-in links, important notices), when you request support, and — only if you opt in — occasionally with news about a new version or planned maintenance. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Zabezpieczenia
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), sign-in is passwordless, and every family is separate. We treat security as part of the calm we want to bring families.
Accessibility
We design HugoFamily so that as many families as possible can use it, including families with accessibility needs. We care about readable screens, sufficient contrast, keyboard control, and clear language.
